Ingredients
- 2 tbsp aliv seed / Garden cress seed soaked
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 8 to 10 cashews
- 10 to 12 raisins
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup dates paste
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Instructions
- Firstly, take a small bowl and add aliv/halim seeds with little water
- Soak this for 15 to 30 mins until garden cress seed becomes swollen
- Meanwhile, heat a heavy bottom pan on low flame
- Further add ghee. when ghee started to melt, add cashews and raisins
- Saute them for a min and take out to a plate
- Keep the flame low and add a cup of milk, alternatively almond milk or cashew milk can be added
- Bring this to boil for 2 mins
- Then add soaked aliv seed and give a good mix
- Boil for 2 more mins and again add dates paste
- Give a good mix and bring to boil for another 2 mins
- Finally add cardamom powder and roasted cashews and raisins
- Give a final mix and turn off heat
- Now healthy and nutritious Aliv Kheer is ready to serve!
