- 2 cup oats quick oats
- 1 cup hot water
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp oil
Firstly, take a blender jar and add 2 cups of oats.
Blend this to a fine powder.
Take a wide bowl & transfer this blended oats powder.
Add salt and crumble the mixture.
Further add hot water little at a time and carefully mix well to form a dough.
Again add 1 tsp of ghee and knead well to form a smooth dough.
Rest this dough for 5 to 10 mins.
Next make a small lemon size ball and dust some oats flour over the roti maker.
Place the oats dough and roll out to a thin roti as possible.
Now place a lid over the rolled roti to make a perfect shape and remove the extra dough. This is because, oats are gluten free and it is difficult to get a perfect shape.
In the similar way roll it other rotis.
Then place a rolled roti over the hot cast iron tawa.
Once the bubbles starts to appear, then flip over the roti and smear little oil/ghee both sides..
Gently press it and flip over 3 to 4 times until roti is cooked well.
Take out to a plate and turnoff the heat.
Now the diabetic & heart healthy oats roti is ready to serve!
