Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup sweet pumpkin chopped into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 3 to 4 cinnamon sticks small
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tsp cloves crushed
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds roasted

Instructions

  • In a heating pan add water.
  • Now add sweet pumpkin chopped into small cubes.
  • Also add little turmeric powder and salt.
  • Mix well and cover the lid.
  • Bring to a boil for 3 to 4 mins until sweet pumpkins are soft and tender.
  • Similarly add coconut milk.
  • Give a good mix and add spices like cinnamon, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder ,crushed cloves and salt.
  • Again mix well and bring to a boil for 2 mins.
  • Likewise add oats.
  • stir well for 2 mins until oats gets cooked.
  • Now the hot yummy pumpkin oatmeal is ready to serve!
  • Finally garnish with roasted pumpkin seeds (optional). enjoy pumpkin oatmeal when it is hot.
