Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 2 to 4 black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter milk or curd
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For tempering:

  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp hing or asafoetida
  • 2 to 4 curry leaves

Instructions

Method:

  • Add chopped coriander leaves to a blender
  • Now add grated coconut
  • Add cumin
  • Add black pepper
  • Add little water and blend it to a fine paste and transfer this paste to a bowl
  • Now add butter milk or curd and salt
  • mix well, keep it aside and prepare tempering 

Method for tempering:

  • Add coconut oil to a tempering pan and heat for 2 mins
  • Now add mustard, cumin, hing and curry leaves
  • saute well until it splutters
  • Add this tempering to prepared coriander tambuli 
  • mix well and eat with hot rice
