Ingredients

  • ¾ cup pitted dates finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fine rava / semolina
  • 1 tbsp ghee / clarified butter
  • 1 tbsp raisins finely chopped
  • 1 tsp licorice powder/Jeshtamadhu or Yashtimadhu

Instructions

How To Make Dates Licorice Balls For Acid Reflux:

  • Firstly take a small blender and add the finely chopped pitted dates.
  • Blend this mixture to a coarse paste and keep it aside.
  • In the meantime heat a thick bottomed kadai or pan and fine rava / semolina.
  • Dry roast rava for 2 to 3 minutes and transfer this to a plate. 
  • Next to the same pan add ghee.
  • Once the ghee is melted, add blended dates paste.
  • Saute well this for 2 to 3 mins until ghee combines well with dates paste.
  • Then add finely chopped raisins and licorice powder and give a good mix.
  • Further simmer the heat add roasted rava and mix it again. 
  • Make sure that dates and rava combines well. Turn off the heat.
  • Allow to cool this for a minute. Grease a palm with little ghee and shape it into small balls when it is slightly touchable temperature.
  • Now the healing acid reflux balls are ready to enjoy!
  • Take one dates licorice balls after food. Continue this for atleast 48 days for best result.
