This is an evergreen medicinal herb that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. It is known as ‘winter cherry‘ or ‘Indian ginseng‘. Most importantly, it is an ‘adaptogenic’ herb, which means it helps your body manage stress. Ashwagandha is one of the most important herb in ayurvedic medicinal system and used in India over 3000 years ago.

It has many health benefits & has become a popular supplement due to its health benefits. Usually ashwagandha is available in root and powdered(churna) form. It is used to treat many health conditions like Arthritis, heart health, Alzheimer’s treatment, cancer and Thyroid.

Ashwagandha sometimes difficult to consume in raw form. Because it is very bitter in taste. So to avoid this, you can take ashwagandha churna in any of the forms, like with milk (refer Ashwagandha Ksheera) or make a snack using ashwagandha powder.  otherwise simply make sweet ashwagandha laddu, using jaggery and ashwagandha powder. These laddus are very easy to make and tasty too. Only the thing is, you have to get the proper string consistency of jaggery. Otherwise it is difficult to shape into balls. Also add little wheat flour while making of laddus. As wheat flour helps to give the proper ball shape. Further you can store this in an air-tight container for 10 to 15 days.
