Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled Chickpea
  • 2 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cucumber finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

Preparation for making chickpea salad:

  • Soak the chickpea in hot water for 3 to 4 hrs. Pressure cook this chickpea for 4 to 5 whistles. Allow to cool this boiled chickpea.
  • Meanwhile finely chop the raw vegetables and keep it aside.

Method for making chickpea salad:

  • In a large bowl, add boiled chickpea, finely chopped onion, tomatoes, cucumber and carrots.
  • Similarly add grated coconut, chopped coriander leaves and chopped ginger.
  • Also add black salt and chat masala.
  • Finally squeeze lemon juice.
  • Give it a good mix.
  • Now the healthy, filling chickpea salad is ready to serve!
