Usually paneer fried rice recipe is made from cooked rice, paneer (Indian cottage cheese), different vegetables, salt, pepper powder and soy sauce. This is nothing but extension of veg fried rice with a topping of stir fried marinated paneer cubes. Indian recipes with paneer are delicious and nutritious in nature.
Most importantly, this is a healthy version of paneer fried rice without soy sauce. As soy sauce are high in sodium and might affect our health in many ways. So I skip soy sauce and made it in a healthy way.
Further we know that, fried rice will not be tasty without soy sauce. Because soy sauce is the main ingredient in all Indo-chinses recipes. As soy sauces enhances taste of the recipe with different aroma. But we can also make healthy, delicious Paneer fried rice without soy sauce and make it more healthy without affecting health.
Certainly, this paneer fried rice is a protein rich, mild comforting taste, not spicy and even kid friendly. Moreover it is ideal one pot meal rice recipe for kids lunch box and even good for dinner. As it is loaded with protein, healthy crunchy veggies with mild spices makes it super delicious and healthy.
Even more, you can make paneer fried rice with left over rice, In that case you just stir fry the other ingredients and mix left over rice. This method is time consuming, but for sake of health always use freshly cooked rice which is completely cooled. Because if add hot rice we won’t get good taste as well as texture.

Marination Of Paneer
- 200 gm paneer diced
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
For Paneer Fried Rice
- 3 tbsp oil (avocado oil) organic
- 1 tbsp ginger finely chopped
- 1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup carrot finely chopped
- 1/2 cup beans finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sweet corn boiled
- 3/4 cup spring onion finely chopped
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vinegar organic
- 1/2 tsp ketchup (homemade) optional
- 1 cup basmati rice cooked
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
Firstly, take a wide bowl and add diced paneer
Then add red chilli powder, salt and black pepper powder
Gently mix well and keep it aside for 10 mins
Next, heat a thick bottom pan on moderate flame and add oil
Once the oil is hot enough, add marinated paneer and roast on both sides
Take out roasted paneer dices to a plate and keep it aside
Further, add a tsp of oil to the same heating pan and add finely chopped ginger and garlic
Sauté well until they turns golden brown and then add chopped onion
Again stir well until onions are translucent
Now add chopped vegetables like carrots, green beans, sweet corn and spring onion with little salt
Saute all the vegetables until they are soft and cooked well
Similarly, add vinegar and homemade tomato ketchup and give a good mix
Also, add cooked basmati rice with salt to taste
Gently mix well without breaking rice grains
Then add crushed black pepper and roasted paneer
Mix everything well and turn off heat
Finally garnish with chopped spring onion
Now the protein rich paneer fried rice is ready to serve!

Marination of Paneer:
Firstly take a wide bowl and add diced paneer
Add red chilli powder, salt and little black pepper powder
Give a good mix and rest for 10 mins
Making of Paneer Fried Rice:
Heat a pan on moderate flame and add 2 tbsp of oil
When oil is hot enough, add marinated paneer and roast both sides until paneer turns to golden brown
Take out all the roasted paneer to a plate
Again heat pan and add oil
Next add finely chopped ginger & garlic and saute well until turns to brown
Further add finely chopped onion and stir well until they are translucent
Likewise add finely chopped carrot, beans, boiled sweet corn and spring onion
Add little salt & saute all the vegetables until they are soft and cooked well
Also add organic vinegar and ketchup (homemade) and saute again for a minute
Now add cooked rice and little salt
Give a gentle mix without breaking rice grains
Additionally add crushed black pepper and roasted paneer
Give a final mix and decorate with chopped spring onion
Now protein rich Paneer Fried Rice is ready to serve!
