In a heating pan add ghee and let it melts
Add cumin and fennel seeds
Saute well until it splutters
Now add chopped ginger and garlic
Saute well for 2 mins
Also add finely chopped onion
Saute well until onions are translucent
Now add chopped tomatoes
Again saute well for 2 to 3 mins
Also add hing and turmeric powder
Mix well properly
Now add chopped palak (spinach) and salt
mix well until palak gets cooked
At this time add cooked toor dal
Mix well properly
Now add red chilli powder and sugar
Again mix well and bring to a boil for 3 to 4 mins
Turn off the heat and add lemon juice and 1 tsp of ghee
Mix well and the dabha style dal palak is ready to serve
